Our History
Established in 2008 by three experienced engineers, RED originally traded as Red Marine as we focused on the offshore industries. Working closely with global offshore contractors and equipment suppliers we quickly built a reputation as a company that could rapidly develop and deliver innovative solutions for the most challenging offshore projects. Over subsequent years, we successfully delivered a wide range of projects and gradually grew our team and capabilities – this included moving into a purpose built new head office, Tynedale House, in 2013 and the continued upgrade and expansion of the RED Test Facility.
In 2015, we rebranded as RED Engineering to reflect a more diverse customer base as in addition to supporting offshore projects, we started to work with clients in the nuclear decommissioning sector. In 2017 we were delighted to be win a Queens Award for Innovation in recognition of our novel approach to developing and delivering new technology.
Now a team of 27, we will continue to grow our capabilities to support our diverse clients whilst remaining true to our original values and mission.

The RED mission
RED Engineering will always add value where clients turn to us for help – providing the tools to make the difficult jobs do-able – saving time and money and reducing risk. The mission hasn’t changed.

Adding real value
Challenges come in all shapes and sizes but the RED approach is always the same – a partnership with the client based on trust. The solution may come through different routes but the value proposition remains the same.
Our achievements
Over the last 11 years we have delivered almost 350 projects to satisfied customers all over the world. No two jobs are the same but in every case the aim is the same – enabling our clients to achieve their goals at minimum risk, schedule and cost.
