RED Engineering has recently been awarded a place on the Enabling Innovation Framework (EIF) by Sellafield Ltd. The multi-million pound framework is focused on promoting innovation in the ongoing decommissioning programme at Europe’s largest nuclear site.
As highlighted by Duncan Steel, Sellafield Chief Technology Officer “The Enabling Innovation Framework brings together Supply Chain Partners with broad experience and expertise to provide input, innovation and challenge to Sellafield Ltd. Sellafield Ltd looks forward to working with the Enabling Innovation Framework Supply Chain Partners in a collaborative manner to deliver both strategic and tactical value in support of the organisational mission.
Our appointment to the EIF is a major vote of client trust in RED Engineering and a landmark in our growing five-year relationship with Sellafield, said MD Joe Orrell
“Sellafield has commissioned us to help them fast-track innovative solutions on some fascinating engineering projects over the past few years, and this framework appointment confirms that they value our creative approach to innovation as much as the solutions we provide.’
The EIF scope covers from initial identification of a business need through problem definition and the provision of focussed technical and digital support / solutions and subsequent support to key decision making.
“Our commitment to our clients is to help them achieve their objectives faster, more effectively and perhaps most importantly, more safely. With our appointment to the EIF, we’re looking forward to working in partnership with other framework members to challenge the status quo, stimulate innovation and improve how things are done.”
